Ashesh C Shah (Alex)

Alex has 20+ years of global operational experience in building, integrating, and managing enterprises from concept through IPO. He has managed a venture capital portfolio of over $1.5B AUM and returns in excess of 30%. As a serial entrepreneur, he has overseen the high-profile exits of solo sciences, Good & Co, Black Duck Software, Draft.com, Frigo RevolutionWear and StarStreet. among others. Alex is an active participant in the global entrepreneurial community and specializes in sourcing transactions often unavailable to the broader investment community and ahead of institutional exposure. He holds patents in intellectual property, licensing, consumer loyalty, couponing and payment technology

Alex has served on a Presidential taskforce for the CIA, holding top secret and special clearances, and as a VP of R&D for Razorfish. He is on the Advanced Research Board at Partners Healthcare and is a graduate of Williams College.

Palle Pedersen

Palle has a strong 20+ year track record of launching new ventures across a variety of business areas and technologies. Palle’s expertise lies in bridging the gap between business and technology while implementing empowering technical and patent strategies. He has served as founding investor and founding CTO for several companies,  is known as a reputable resource in the global technology entrepreneur community, and is often sought out to mentor fellow entrepreneurs.  His recent exits have included solo sciences ($22.5M), Good & Co, Black Duck Software ($565M), Draft.com ($48M), Frigo RevolutionWear and StarStreet.

Palle holds a diverse set of patents including large scale genome-style search, cryptography, and legal document management. He has a graduate degree in Electronics Engineering from Danish Technical University, where he graduated first in his class.

Manish Shah

Mr. Shah has a multi-decade career as a technology investor, operator and banker, including experience at Morgan Stanley and Bear Stearns’ Technology investment banking groups and as a senior executive at a Nasdaq listed optical networking company. He also founded and ran a private capital investment business, including investments in debt, REO and value-add.  As a banker, he was a pre-IPO advisor to Google (GOOG), aQuantive (sold to MSFT), Silicon Labs (SLAB), and Mastercard (MA) and advised XM-Satellite (XMSR), Palm Computing (PALM) and numerous other high growth companies post-IPO. Mr. Shah was a C-level executive at Nasdaq listed Stratos Tech (STLW, sold to Emerson Electric). He continues to be an active investor in early stage companies.  His investments include BioAesthetics (innovator in woman’s health), Celect (sold to Nike), Chartable (last round led by Initialized Capital), Cvent (IPO, Sold to Vista Equity), Edcast (SoftBank and Stanford are co-investors), Examsoft (sold to Spectrum Equity), Good&Co (Sold to Axel Springer, public company in Germany), Solo Sciences (Sold to Akerna, KERN, a Nasdaq listed company), Thirdlove (female CEO and founder, last round led by L Catterton, the PE arm of LVMH), and Underdog Fantasy sports (Marc Cuban is the largest outside investor).

Manish graduated from Yale University and Harvard University Law School.  He is on the board of advisors for Yale’s Institute for Global Affairs and has been an active supporter of Council for Economic Education/Invest in Girls and its efforts to foster financial literacy.

Jamie Leo

Creative Director Jamie Leo brings a breadth of disciplines to The London Fund, having led successful national branding and ad campaigns for agencies, boutique design houses, universities, and advocacy organizations. His award-winning, cross-channel storytelling (via his writing and design competencies) include award-winning work for IBM, GE Medical, P&G, Wolters Kluwer, solo sciences, and Scholastic, among others. He’s led national aspirational campaigns for The American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, Farm Aid, Green Sports Alliance, and Green Maps System. Jamie speaks and presents at national conferences, including Creativity Week, The State of Now, and SxSW; he is a design adjudicator, hackathon winner, and has written for the Huffington Post, OUT, and other publications. An Edward Albee Writing Fellow, as well as writer for an award-winning campaign for New York City’s recycling program. A key designer for the international phenomenon, “Rent” and Spy Magazine, his new theatrical work “’68” (with composer Paul Leschen) received excellent reviews in its premier workshop production. His fine art has shown in NY and international galleries as well as Art Basel Miami.

Melissa O’Brien

Community manager for engin sciences and partner FlowerHire X. With her background in partnership management at solo sciences, and investor relations manager at The London Fund, Melissa extends and enables cross-industry relationships. An avid traveler (a flight leader and attendant for over six years), she is passionate about learning other cultures and bringing people together; she is currently collaborating on a program in support of children in Africa. Facility management coordinator for mid to late-stage Alzheimer’s and dementia patients. BA in Behavioral Sciences, Purdue University.

Michele Tousignant

Michele is a training professional with more than fifteen years of leading technical and soft skills training for in-person and web-based environments in IT and publishing industries. Her special expertise is in program design, technical writing and project management in mobile & web app development; she has delivered worldwide rollouts of internal products, ensuring effective work processes, tech integration, and company culture throughout several organizations, including IBM, IDG/IDC & solo sciences. Michele’s educational background includes a degree in musical theater from Emerson College, and a master’s in education and creative arts in learning from Lesley University.

Rosario Mannino

Rosario Mannino is an Executive Director at The London Fund. Rosario attended New York Law School and participated in the law school’s Honors JD program. During law school, he was a legal extern for the General Counsel of Instinet, a large institutional, agency-model, tech-focused financial securities trading firm. From there, he interned at an entertainment law firm that was headquartered in Los Angeles. He focused his legal education on intellectual property, privacy, and derivatives. Upon graduating law school and passing the New York State Bar, Rosario worked as a legal clerk for the general counsel of Parkoff Organization, a privately-held real estate acquisition and management company with about $1 billion in assets. Shortly thereafter, he began working as a senior credit analyst at Brevet Capital Management, a hedge fund with just under $2 billion in assets under management, where he performed real estate underwriting, legal, marketing, and social media work. Rosario has since done foreclosure law, entertainment law and sports law. 

Just before law school, Rosario founded, runs, and still owns, NY Social Media and Production, Co., a digital media, marketing, content creation and curation company. As the company’s reputation has grown, his stature in digital marketing and media has grown. Rosario has become a leader in the digital space by creating innovative, and unique performance-driven brand and marketplace solutions that deliver high-quality, low-CPM results while also generating deep relationships with top creators to help create some of the most engaging content for creators in their respective genres. He has worked with some of the largest brands, agencies and social media creators in the world.
